© 粤ICP备19077098号In October, we arrived at Block722 architects+, an architectural studio in Athens, Greece, where we were greeted by founders, Sotiris Tsergas and Katja Margaritoglou. This is an international design studio that works closely with its diverse group of multidisciplinary designers, unique artists, and artisans to create many projects.
In the process of communication, we learned the design concept of Block722 architects+ centers on two main principles: first, to ensure the permanence of the space, and second, to foster an interactive relationship between the users—those living in the space—and their environment. This approach is crucial not only for providing the client with an intuitive experience of the area but also for creating a building that is distinctively suited to the land.
The studio of Block722 is about 400 square meters and consists of two floors, three meeting rooms, and a kitchen. Upon entering you are greeted by the reception area, where a Greek rattan artist has placed a captivating piece of installation art made entirely from natural materials, which instantly catches people's eyes. The artwork is both abstract and unique, embodying the core philosophy of Block722 architects+.
Beyond the reception area, additional art installations can be found throughout the space. The studio is notably bright, with many areas offering views of the outdoors, giving people a sense of comfort. Unlike many other studios, Block722 architects+ emphasizes the kitchen, positioning it at the heart of the studio, reflecting its significance in the studio’s culture.
