Simon de Burbure was born in Ghent, Belgium, in 1990. Educated in French, Dutch, and English, he trained as an architect with a foundation in classical architecture before founding his own practice in 2018. Since then, his office has developed a strong portfolio of residential projects, each defined by a contemporary interpretation of authenticity and craftsmanship.

From the beginning, de Burbure has viewed construction as a dialogue with the client, with each design shaped by how people wish to live in their homes. His architecture grows from the inside out, starting with the essence of daily life and evolving toward proportions, light, and context. While every project is unique, his work consistently reflects key principles: clean lines, refined detailing, transparency, and the integration of views. Minimalism plays a central role, yet always balanced with softness, intimacy, and warmth.

Today, Simon de Burbure Architects continues to focus on bespoke residential projects that merge contemporary clarity with timeless qualities. His architecture stands for precision, balance, and the pursuit of spaces that feel both fundamental and deeply personal.
