Banda, the burgeoning global design practice founded by Edo Mapelli Mozzi, unveils its latest private client project, a beautiful three-bedroom apartment in the heart of Marylebone, London W1. The original layout has been transformed into a three bedroom, three bathroom apartment with expansive living and entertaining spaces. Original details and cornicing have been restored and enhanced with the addition of sympathetic panelling and Versailles parquet flooring.

Soft neutral tones are enlivened with a mix of materials and textures and statement pieces such as the fire surround in the bold Calacatta Viola marble which beautifully elevates the space. The kitchen is a bespoke design which we specified in a very masculine, dark ebonised ash wood which we juxtaposed with the very beautiful and feminine Arabescato Corchia marble worktop and splashback. The quirky wall mounted triple sconce adds an element of playfulness to the room.

The apartment features three double ensuite bedrooms. The master bedroom has a bespoke headboard to the super king bed, featuring a dark wood trim with fine cane inlay. Either side sit a pair of Artemest 'Lloyd Travertine' bedside tables with a walnut base and travertine top and white Heathfield&Co Orla wall lights set in satin brass. This master suite also benefits from a generous walk-in dressing room with cane cupboards, an antique mirrored wall and Bert Frank wall lighting. The master bathroom features Banda's signature pale marble palette with antique brass tapware and Alba Simple wall lights and alabaster tube lighting from Contain Lighting.

The interiors embody Banda Design Studio’s signature design ethos: traditional period architecture, beautifully restored historic details married with a contemporary neutral colour palette and layered with texture, sculptural shapes, striking artwork and vintage pieces alongside modern-day classics.
