Australian design studio Decus Interiors has designed Tamarama Home 2 for a well-known Sydney fashion blogger and her partner. Serenity, lightness and touch are on full display in this elegant 1940s waterfront apartment.
The studio has crafted a high-resolution interior that responds to the client's unique aesthetic, with a highly customised solution that addresses internal balance, practicality, spatial awareness, with a bit of fun and textured charm.
Throughout the home, extraordinary functionality is hidden by decorative touches, with many design elements intended to achieve a dual function that becomes apparent in a full-height pivot mirror wrapped door concealing a storage room.
Specific materials that create contrast, from plain and humble washed plywood to Calacatta marble, carved brass and custom joinery, are used to layer and elevate the space, resulting in a relaxed, creative and durable home.
