Led by renowned chef Rob Rossi and experienced front office manager David Minicucci, the two partners decided to open a new sister restaurant, Osteria Giulia, which they wanted to offer customers a simpler, more sophisticated experience than before. To this end, Canadian design studio Guido Costantino was invited to design the restaurant.
Chef Rob Rossi's approach to cooking is paired with a quiet aesthetic, unifying the kitchen and space through a shared belief in simplicity and simple elegance. The room has a convent feel, consisting of curving limestone walls and folding ceilings to create intimate dining areas. Wool paneled walls provide soft text and acoustic quality. There is a proportionate balance between hard and soft, poetic and pragmatic.
