Vitaliy Vorobey is a Ukrainian visualizer and designer whose understanding of design has been shaped and changed by new modern cultures and technologies. At the same time, he tries to add emotion and concept to minimalism without losing a touch of irony.
Astro House sits on a lush site, surrounded by dense woods. The concrete building blends perfectly into the context of its site. The geometry of the whole volume is rich and intense, with a quarter of the cylindrical shape interwoven with the rectangular shape as the characteristic of the building.
Cylindrical, rectangular and curved lines contrast the volume, striking a comfortable balance between softness and 'sharpness', while a swimming pool at the front of the house provides space for outdoor recreation.
Red handrails, in stark contrast to the concrete building, jump out throughout the facade. The rectangular openings echo the volume of the building, while bringing more natural light into the interior. Viewed from the interior, the forest landscape looks like a framed painting.
