A respectful redesign bridges past and present, merging the energy and vibrancy of modern family life with the rich tradition of a Tudor-Georgian home.Within the elegant bones of this Toronto Tudor-Georgian, ACDO designed a space that would be suited to welcome a young and modern family recently transplanted from New York.
To achieve this, the home was reimagined, from its flow to its furnishings. The layout was reconfigured to reduce the number of generically sized rooms into an edited hierarchy of grand and private spaces that allows family life to converge and coexist. Clear, clean spaces are outfitted with millwork with bespoke details, and furnished with refined contemporary furniture pieces to help transition a traditional space into a modern home.
