Biasol Design completed a contemporary residential project in Melbourne that aims to showcase the fine joinery and striking stonemason craftsmanship that sets it apart from the rest of the modern family home. Scalpellino House celebrates the stonemason heritage and the challenging craftsmanship that beautifies the beauty and character of the marble texture to create a truly unique joinery space. Stonemason is as much a craft as an art form, sculpting rough rock into precise geometry -- as opposed to natural formation.
Honed bluestone connects the entrance, spine wall and staircase, and dramatic Cosmic Gold granite unifies the kitchen, dining and living area. The bathrooms and powder room are immersive spaces enveloped with marble. Elba is soft and calming in the ground-floor bathrooms, while Concordia is striking and theatrical in the powder room.
