Claude Cartier Décoration has completed an apartment in the southwestern French city of Biarritz. The studio is like a decorative and art-oriented eclectic, providing a backdrop for the house to share authentic expressions of the project. There is no doubt that Claude Cartier's decor is a summary of a DNA of rigour, passion and extraordinary creativity, eager to share passionate adventures with clients.
The 170-square-metre apartment, bought by the client's grandfather Louis Lacroix, has fantastic ocean views and a sun-soaked, wind-proof terrace. A window in the house resembles the dome of a Russian church that commemorates St. Alexander of the Neva river. Thanks to Biarritz's changeable climate, the sky quickly changes from azure blue to stormy brown.
Although the apartment was habitable at the time of purchase, the partition has been removed and the area has been reassigned. As if from scratch, Claude Cartier Decoration has created two bedrooms, two bathrooms, an office, a dressing room... On the other hand, this new project by Claude Cartier perfectly demonstrates the couple's passion for 20th-century design.
From the beginning of the design, the studio has been careful to maintain their usual style, an exhibition space for high-end contemporary furniture, a laboratory, and a display case, which is in parallel with the studio's mission.
