Reserved colouring and technical textures are characteristic features of DZHUS. Each piece carries a distinctive ideological message.

DZHUS is a conceptual clothing and accessories brand founded in 2010 by Ukrainian designer and stylist Irina Dzhus. Avant-garde yet utilitarian, DZHUS designs are internationally recognised by their innovative cut and multi-purpose transformations. The brand’s design concepts are based on interaction and transformation of construction modules, aimed to create new aesthetics of the form – unique and virtually archetypical at the same time, categoric but variable. Reserved colouring and technical textures are characteristic features of DZHUS. Each piece carries a distinctive ideological message.

DZHUS’collections are inspired by things at the edge of perception: from spiritual strongholds to abandoned industrial zones. DZHUS’customer is a perfectionist who longs for an uncompromisingly complementary form for her own spiritual substance. Neither her age, nor occupation matters, but only her ability to comprehend a piece of clothing intellectually. As a vegetarian-friendly brand, DZHUS uses only ethical materials. In 2019, DZHUS won the Cruelty-free Fashion prize at Best Fashion Awards Ukraine. In 2021, DZHUS’eco project, “Unpacking”, was awarded a special prize at Fashion Film Festival Kyiv. Short-listed for the International Woolmark Prize back in 2015, DZHUS is now stocked at concept stores in Japan, China, Portugal, USA, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Australia, Poland, and sold online worldwide.

Designer Irina Dzhus’ pattern-making innovations help minimise physical shopping and create a versatile yet sustainable wardrobe from a few transformable garments. Since the war began, DZHUS has relocated to the EU and has been donating 30% of its profit to Ukrainian animal rights organisations. DZHUS gained recognition because of its multipurpose wardrobe items that transform radically, including modification of clothes into bags and headpieces. The avant-garde yet highly functional designs embody the brand’s vision of sustainable consumption without limitation of creativity.
