Domenic Degner and Falko Landenberger, the founders of DEGLAN, were approached by Melina Wendlandt, the visionary behind Vaders.Dye Tattoo, with a compelling proposal: to create a physical space that embodies her inclusive vision for a tattoo studio. The project intrigued them, especially since it was led by a dynamic woman determined to redefine a space typically associated with a different aesthetic and target audience. 

Melina Wendlandt, renowned for her fine-line tattoos, operates studios in Hamburg and Berlin. Her reputation as a sought-after artist extends internationally, including stints in L.A., where her clientele features notable names like Hailey Bieber. 

The challenge for DEGLAN was to harness the creative freedom Melina offered while respecting the functional necessities of the space. Their objective was to develop an environment that appeals to lifestyle-conscious customers who seek more than just a conventional tattoo studio. This project was about elevating and aestheticizing cultural beauty practices through thoughtful interior design, thereby normalizing them within a broader lifestyle context.
