Inspired and influenced by CASA NEUTRALE's Balearic aesthetic, the CASA NEUTRALE project became the result of a rigorous investigation of Mediterranean ideals. The starting point of the project, together with the principles studied by Estudio DIIR in previous collaborations and the motto of its principal advocate, "Less is more", forms the cornerstone of the proposal.
In order to transfer these premises to the local environment, the result is a vernacular and warm space. Sustainable mortar and ceramics became the guiding ideology of the project and provided the most representative Mediterranean tones. These materials contrast with the strength of the large frosted granite bar counter. This element serves as a support for specialty coffee and avant-garde cuisine, and thanks to its presence, transforms these two elements into the main role of the project.
Three ceramic benches form an installation that allows tasting of gastronomic products. The main bench along one side of the space is lined with a collection of designer pieces. In itself, the second installation is understood as a central element that guides the public and separates the bar from the tasting through a barrier of natural vegetation. It grows in a flowerpot and is integrated into the structure of the bench itself. The last installation is located on the outer wall as a physical constraint with the exterior, enabling the public to enjoy the Regueros Street, thanks to its dual condition of indoor and outdoor.
