House Of Grey designer Louisa Grey collaborated with carpet brand Armadillo&Co to design their showroom in Lisbon, Portugal. Armadillo&Co presents the unifying idea behind the Egypt collection and quiet luxury, and explores how a quiet environment evokes happiness.
Louisa Grey believes there will be a shift in the culture of slow living, where people think about what they buy and how the materials around them affect them. Louisa Grey felt that the Egyptian collection brought comfort and a down-to-earth feel, and these were the design principles he worked on at House Of Grey, which fused philosophy together. Respect both function and aesthetics to inspire quiet, understated luxury in the home.
Louisa's collaboration with House of Grey focuses on an elegant simplicity that evokes a sense of calm and happiness, which in turn resonates with Armadillo & Co and its strong ethical standards.
Armadillo&Co's carpets have a soul and integrity that respects the local culture and architectural history. From the use of natural wool and jute materials to the recognition of local artisans' use of craftsmanship, "artisanal elements form the backbone of the product", as Louisa reflects.
