With design, I aim to tell evocative stories that are adventurous and full of texture, pattern and colour.

Kelly Wearstler, founder and principal of Kelly Wearstler, is an American designer creating multi-faceted, experiential residential, hospitality, commercial and retail environments as well as expansive collections of lifestyle product designs. With the demonstration of provocative concepts and expressive narratives signature to her extensive body of work, Wearstler is internationally recognized with distinctive design awards and numerous publications. A multi-layered, stimulating sensory experience is at the center of Wearstler’s design approach. With its unique style, Kelly Wearstler combines refined colors, complexity and spontaneity, and perfectly integrates furniture from different periods, changing the style, connotation and meaning of modern American design.

From her residential spaces to a collection of contemporary, spiked lighting solutions, stainless steel is a staple throughout Wearstler’s design portfolio. A product of her online gallery, Wearstler’s collection with metalsmithing designer Christopher Genter showcases the malleability of stainless steel, reworked to form an organic series of table designs. The fluid nature of distinctive metal alloy meets intricate patterns and undulating colours to infuse each piece with individuality and exclusivity, ensuring that it becomes the focal point of any living room interior.

Newly launched, Wearstler’s Echo Collection presents a range of organic, Douglas fir furniture designs, each handcrafted by artisans with dual expertise in timber and sculpture design. Carved from carefully selected pieces of wood, the collection forms around Douglas fir, white gesso and ebonised Douglas fir wood. Approaching bouclé through a series of architectural, fluid forms, Wearstler’s designs play upon the plaster-like finish and expressive character of the material. Curvaceous and low-profile silhouettes call to mind mid-century Japanese and 1970s Italian and French design eras, reimagined through Wearstler’s modern lens of pronounced texture and rich materiality.

Wearstler’s collection of organic, marble furniture designs seek to uncover the playful potential of natural stone, evoking a paired-back luxury of easy refinement. NUDO Collection presents distinctly softened forms that embrace the beauty and fortitude of the material, reworking individual blocks of natural marble with innovative 3D-rendering techniques. Due to the natural variation of marble, each design is truly unique and one-of-a-kind. Created in collaboration with Hagit Pincovici for Wearstler's online gallery, the Growing Lamp embraces the quirks inherent to natural materials, marrying architectural lines with intricate details, elevating traditional lighting to sculptural art. The new Esculpa Collection similarly places a spotlight on elemental design, presenting an engaging interplay of texture and softened light through a range of organic-form, marble inspired wall sconces.
