Myeongdong, a shopping and tourism center in Seoul, has raised concerns about Sappun for domestic and foreign customers. The Sapun store, known as the Sapun Myeong-dong Stage, has been expanded and extended since 1930, so it has become bent and damaged. Since the beginning of the relationship between Labotory and Sapun, Labotory has had a lot of ideas in order to provide domestic and foreign customers with full brand experience in Sapun space.

Laboory chose "Onto the Stage" as the concept tagline to provide clients with a special moment, just like the protagonist on stage. In this way, the space is unlocked by the design language of stage, protagonist and lighting. The floor from outside to inside becomes the runway where the protagonist appears. In order to express the particularity and attention of the stage, the falling curtain is represented by the layered walls and light, the light from the walls diffuses subtly into the space, creating a mood.

In addition, Sawan's signature finishing material not only covers the facade, but also shows the connection from the interior counter to the front wall on the first and second floors, addressing the lack of spatial coherence. The ceiling reflects the columns from the first floor to the second floor, breaking the spatial limitations of the narrow corridor, while the vertical gaze allows it to overcome the narrow space.

The furniture and lighting harmoniously express the diversity of acrylic, wood and metal to highlight Sapun's craftsmanship. With this spatial language, Laborory intends to deliver brand value and experience to customers through the Sapun Myeong-dong stage and consolidate Sapun's target brand in the future.
