Latika is a ceramic artist from India who lived and worked in Berlin and is a self-taught ceramic artist. Her works are highly introspective, combining various themes, drawing lessons from ancient masters in style, and solving modern problems at the same time.
After eight years as a communications designer, she continues to work as a visual artist and ceramicist in Germany and India. Her vessels are constructed using traditional techniques, such as coiling and kneading, which obviously bear the mark of handwork. Each piece is unique.
She uses the characteristics of materials to express her artistic exploration. By modeling body poses and animation textures, she intends to make her objects personable.
