McLaren Excell has crafted a serene working environment for Samsung's employees at their offices inthe city of London. McLaren Excell commissioned the office design and build company Oktra, known forcreating and embracing hybrid-working modalities, to help support the project’s completion.
The human-centric workplace consigns offi ce formality and seriousness to the past, embracing the comforts of one’s home: plants, soft furnishings and tactile materials. Instead of general grid lighting, the fi ttings light specifi c areas, suggesting domestic intimacy and warmth.
In response to the evolving needs of the modern workforce, McLaren Excell has tailored the space to accommodate hybrid and remote working preferences. By mirroring the tranquillity of a homely setting, the office environment aims to enhance employee well-being and foster a sense of belonging.
Flexibility lies at the core of the design, with movable linen curtain partitions and glue-laminated spruce partitions off ering versatility in confi guring private meeting rooms and communal areas. The absence of fixed walls promotes sociability and collaboration, while the informal breakout space and kitchen encourageemployees to take time away from their desks.
