A modern minimalist home in Northcote, a rural suburb of Melbourne, Australia, was designed in collaboration with local interior designers Melissa Vukadin and Kimberley Barker. The house was designed to encourage bright and tidy Spaces -- redefining family life. Clever styling combined with restraint creates a sense of calm, ventilation and comfort that flows from start to finish.
The interior design and styling solution for the house was a collaboration between Melissa Vukadin and Kimberley Barker. Their aim was to reflect the fine details of the exterior elements and to continue a spacious, restrained theme. The overall concept of interior tones is inspired by nature, with neutrality, simplicity, and consideration of material selection and application.
The design of the house strives to meet the brief. With such a complete program goal, the team was able to successfully deliver a floor plan and project solution that accommodated many on a small plot of land to meet the needs of the average family. The house shone brightly from the inside out. The white motif on white gently sets off the pale wood, providing a polished and clean aesthetic that is not heavy or impressive.
