Themed on Zerzura, a mysterious hidden oasis in the Sahara Desert, ZZURA is a sombre, modern Middle Eastern building in Hong Kong, China, designed by local Design studio NC Design & Architecture. The combination of modern style with traditional Middle Eastern architectural elements makes the space unique, subtly achieved through shapes and patterns that separate them from the heavier ornamentation and reveal the basic geometry. Inspired by the layout of an outdoor market, the space is arranged around a central bar with separate tables along the perimeter of the room. A traditional Bedouin tent brings visitors to the bar area.
