Karimoku Case Study is a Japanese contemporary lifestyle brand based on shared design values, born out of an appreciation and love of serene beauty, rich materials and timeless appeal.
To mark the launch of the project, Kinfolk Gallery will host an exhibition showcasing the work of local creatives, drawing on Japanese and Danish design aesthetics, high-quality craftsmanship and organic shapes in a curated environment that gives visitors the impression of being in a contemporary apartment.
Located on Strøget, one of Copenhagen's busiest streets, the apartment exhibition is composed of natural materials, earthen tones and reference materials between the artwork and furniture of the co-exhibitors.
Designed by local design studio Norm Architects and inspired by Japanese temples, shrines and gardens, the exhibition and collection embodies a sense of calm; A soft, warm and minimal space composed of materials, design and aesthetics, all of which enhance each other, in the same way that the Japanese and Danish design traditions unite and promote each other through mutual respect, grasping common values.
