Santa Teresa 58 is an urban spa located in the historic center of Naples, designed as a peaceful retreat from the city's bustling energy. Inspired by the architectural layout of ancient Roman baths, the spa features massive vaults, natural materials, and an emphasis on natural light. The entrance, via a travertine staircase, leads to a grand reception area modeled after a Roman atrium. This space is adorned with custom-made black flamed wood furniture, serving as both seating and display areas for products. Velvet cushions embroidered with tropical motifs add a touch of luxury, while a raised platform in the center facilitates client-owner interactions.
The design emphasizes a tactile experience, with walls and vaults finished in mud-colored lime plaster that adds depth and texture to the space. Travertine flooring, uniquely installed in a parquet pattern, contrasts with the traditional use of the material. Flush-to-the-wall doors line the corridor leading to treatment rooms, each outfitted with minimalist yet functional furniture, including a sink and central bed. This cohesive design approach creates a calming and consistent atmosphere throughout the spa, ensuring a tranquil experience for visitors.
Lighting plays a key role in shaping the ambiance, with recessed spotlights providing horizontal illumination and spherical Murano glass wall lamps offering vertical light. All wooden furniture is backlit with LED strips, adding a soft glow. "Santa Teresa 58" represents a fusion of contemporary design and ancient architectural inspiration, offering a modern wellness space equipped with the latest technologies while maintaining a timeless, monumental character.
