With a breif to make the most of the 5.8m wide site, Designer and Paddington resident Shona McElroy looked around her surroundings, designed the first blush house.
The idea of the humble side passage visually enlarging and softening the interiors was the basis that Shona requested the clients ammend the DA to flip the layout of the typical duplex, and incorporate the legal side setback into the space by opening large windows & incorporating lush planting.
Nestled in a tranquil setting, the interior features intricate details layered with high quality materials. This is a family with two daughters, another on the way, and a female pug. So Smac Studio used a soft palette to make the house more tasteful and vibrant, and more female-oriented.
