Located on the beautiful Greek island of Mykonos, the Aeonic Spa Hotel is a true interior gem designed by Stones and Walls, blending serenity with a natural atmosphere of beauty.
The spa hotel's suites, spa and public areas are designed to reflect the founding philosophy of Stones and Walls: "Design influences people's culture and positively impacts their lives", which is the hotel's goal. Aeonic means eternity or a lifetime, but what it means to the hotel is that "you can look forward to enjoying carefree happiness in a luxury boutique hotel venue."
The design and project of Stones and Walls was conceived as a friendly environment with high aesthetic value, which was once again demonstrated in the design of Aeonic. Unlike many spa resorts, the emphasis here is on authenticity and understated luxury rather than luxury. The studio draws on the spirit of Mykonos in its timeless and neutral interiors, combining a cool understated palette with dark wood tones. Each space is imbued with a sense of calmness and vastness, guaranteeing a relaxing yet fun and exciting stop.
Each room has its own outdoor space with swimming pool or Jacuzzi. Breathtaking sea views, spacious space and high quality tactile interior design create a unique experience of "Barefoot Luxury". There are pleasant public Spaces, such as restaurants, bars, lounges, etc. All the necessary facilities are present and the central atrium in the centre of the building is the core element. It not only connects the three layers, but also creates an "atmospheric game of light and shadow". On the second floor, there is a health area that moves away from the public areas and through another wood-like landscape palette to blend in with the natural scenery.
The studio described the theme of the hotel as clean and modern Spaces, with soft wabi-sabi moments. The guestrooms restore modern minimalism to its essence and exude tranquility, peace and simplicity. This is accomplished through the use of natural materials such as marble, local stone and oak. These raw materials celebrate natural imperfections along with decorative pieces such as handmade artwork, ceramics and organically shaped lamps.
Stones and Walls describes the result of the AEONIC Spa Hotel perfectly: “Keeping up with the mindfulness, nature, and relaxation aspects, it highlights the rich impulses and qualities of the site finding the balance between richness and restraint—when there’s nothing more to either add or take away.”
