Joanna Laven is a Nordic designer who stands out for her simple and elegant style. She founded Studio Lawahl, an interior design Studio based in Stockholm, Sweden. She infuses her design projects with extreme authenticity. Apartment K is an Apartment in Stockholm, Sweden that was renovated in 2016. It was renovated in the '90s, and many of the typical details of that era have been replaced with true turn-of-the-century stucco and carpentry. In the center of the apartment, there is also an antique fireplace and a classic kitchen. The floor plan was modified to provide a more spacious feel and better use of the space.

Joanna Laven, who created this westernised house, uses the same calm tone for all of her homes: usually grey, with medieval style and wooden furniture. She designed the apartment to be no different, with calm grey tones combined with a hint of blue. The furniture is mainly black and dark wood, but because of the otherwise calm tone, it does not appear dark and heavy.
