Faced with the current global situation, something intangible brings huge tangible problems, leading design studios to rethink virtual real estate as a new concept in terms of architecture, as it seems likely that it will stay that way, resulting in changes in human behavior; Now finding themselves in a new "normal", commuting towns have changed dramatically, big cities, towns, streets, the world is a whole new one, people have to stay at home and turn their attention to the comfort and importance of adapting to the new lifestyle.
Pay close attention to the family as the basic unit of a larger system that needs to change policy. Understand that in this new era, it is not architecture that needs to be rethought, but lifestyle. Interpret the home as a sacred space, a protected sanctuary, where every act is part of a ritual to recapture a sense of wonder. In everyday life, it's easy to overlook the little things that are obvious around people because they are often overshadowed by more important things.
T-unoauno and Arqaz Arquitectura were commissioned to transform the apartment space located on a Zurich street into a warm place where occupants can find a sense of spirituality amid the "chaos" of the city through the renovation of bedrooms and a new home office space. The studio tried to convey this warmth by bringing more natural light into the room and using oak and indirect light reflected in warm tones. Through a rectangular window, divided into four sections, a beam of light forms a cross into Dana's bedroom. The occupants are a family of four, a teenager and her parents, and their French bulldog.
