A signature gourmet restaurant in Mexico City, the capital of Mexico, designed by Taller ADG, a local architecture and interior design studio. The project provides a solution for two adjacent commercial Spaces, separate but Shared entrances, foyers and services.
Buna is a cafe and Sartoria is one of the best Italian restaurants designed by chef Marco Carboni. The main idea was to create a dome that would provide a warm feeling reminiscent of old Trattorias in Italy. This is the guiding design principle for Sartoria. Buna's Spaces are resolved by the shape of the sloping vault, resulting in a curved wall that provides a sense of continuity in such a small space. The formation of two different concepts of personality in the arch of the game.
Through the paved concrete, the essential elements of each space are resolved: it provides a vault to the restaurant (alluding to the vaulted cellars and taverns of Europe) and a central bar for the Buna cafeteria space. The floor is polished concrete. The tops of the bars are made of black and white marble, respectively.
