This prompted art historian J. J. Winckelmann to praise it as "noble simplicity and calm grandeur."

However, outside the academic architecture system, contemporary practical architecture presents a unique landscape. Based on Greece's geographical features, climate, and cultural traditions, this architecture is deeply rooted between the mountains and the sea, displaying a material appearance with a strong sense of locality. It expresses closeness and friendliness to nature, advocating the way of nature and the artistic life of nature.

As the inaugural Greece Mountain-Sea Art Tour by YINJISPACE, from October 1 to October 8, 2024, an 8-day, 7-night journey, you will join us to explore Athens, Samos Island, and Mykonos Island. Using sites, architecture, music, and art as media, we aim to break through the cognitive boundaries of single-discipline studies and establish a more comprehensive, practical logical design system.

Block722 is an architecture studio based in Athens, founded in 2009 by Sotiris Tsergas and Katja Margaritoglou. Combining Greek and Scandinavian influences, the team delivers confident, natural, and timeless designs across residential and hospitality projects. Their work is defined by a crafts-based approach, quality materials, and collaborations with local artisans and artists, capturing the Mediterranean spirit and traditions for the 21st century. With a focus on balance and contextual solutions tailored to each client, Block722 has earned numerous awards and international recognition.

K-Studio is an Athens-based architectural and interior design firm founded by Dimitris and Konstantinos Karampatakis in 2002. They aim to meticulously create different spatial environments inspired by traditional and rich materiality and contemporary life.

Lambs and Lions is a multidisciplinary design studio headquartered in Berlin, founded by Michael Schickinger in 2012. Specializing in interior, architecture, hotel design, art direction, and branding services, it is a key partner of K Studio and the overall creative director for Casa Cook. The studio aims to create a poetic atmosphere of tranquility and warmth, offering optimal architectural and soft furnishing solutions.

Theodore Psychoyos is an Athens-based artist whose creative practice revolves around material gravity. His works combine primitive forms with smooth surfaces to explore the subtle relationship between gravity and balance. Often manifested in the forms of stools, benches, and tables, his pieces challenge our adaptability to the surrounding environment.

Eva Papadaki is an Athens-based art collector and fashion stylist. Her 10AM Loft apartment, an integral part of contemporary design in Athens, spans six floors of an industrial building, designed by Andrew Trotter. It gathers carefully selected design pieces, respectful architectural interventions, and natural materials along with art pieces collected during her travels abroad.

Casa Cook Mykonos follows the organic form of traditional Cycladic houses, surrounded by mountains and sea. The design draws inspiration from local culture, using warm earth tones to present a minimalist style with local characteristics.

Samos Island, the mythical birthplace of goddess Hera, features natural beauty and Casa Cook Samos, designed by Block722. The textures and tones are inspired by local soil and organic elements, including diverse island vegetation like palm trees, pines, agaves, and wild olive trees. The endless swimming pools mimic natural landscapes such as waterfalls, rivers, and coasts.

Perianth Hotel is a member of Design Hotels and K-studio’s first hotel project in Athens, utilizing local artworks and furniture to create a new modernist interior style. Despite its irregular floors, the Sgoumpopoulos family transformed the then-vacant building into a design-focused hospitality venue, invigorating the city. Its simple internal structure reflects the historical progress and cultural value of the early 20th-century Athenian modernist movement.

If a group consists of 5 or more participants, each person will enjoy a discount of 800CNY.

Returning participants who have attended 2-5 trips will receive a discount of 500CNY, and starting from the 6th trip, the discount increases to over 1000CNY. Note that discounts from items 1 and 2 do not stack, but item 3 can be combined with either of them.

Hotel Notes:

The listed hotels in the itinerary are based on double occupancy, with room assignments arranged randomly according to the order of registration. If a participant experiences poor sleep quality, it is recommended to upgrade to a single room. The price difference for the upgraded room is to be borne by the participant.

Visa Notes:

The passport must have at least 6 months of validity remaining after the trip concludes and should have 2 blank visa pages (excluding observation pages). YINJISPACE only collects passports on behalf of participants. The approval of the visa application is at the discretion of the consulate. Any losses (including, but not limited to, self-booked flights or hotel reservations) incurred due to visa rejection are the responsibility of the visa applicant. Once the visa application is submitted, the visa fees are non-refundable, with a processing time of 6-8 weeks.

Insurance Notes:

The insurance provided for this trip is only applicable to participants holding passports issued by mainland China. Participants holding non-mainland China passports are required to purchase their own insurance (self-provided insurance). Any risks and losses incurred due to opting out of insurance coverage will be the responsibility of the participant.
