Located in the heart of Hong Kong, JIA Group's newest restaurant, Louise, is headed by One of Asia's best chefs, Julien Royer. A beautiful two-storey historic site in PMQ Gardens has been transformed by interior designer Andre Fu and his studio AFSO, as well as JIA Group CEO Yenn Wong.
Louise's unique design style, unlike Andre Fu's signature style, contains an aesthetic that aims to capture an interesting character and encapsulates a nostalgic era. The dining room offers two different atmospheres, each floor breeds two distinct personalities, the 'living room' on the ground floor has a chic casual atmosphere, and the 'dining Room' has an inviting and comfortable ivory space where people can have a pleasant long conversation while enjoying delicious food.
Designed to grow organically over time, capturing different levels of meaning, memory and Louise's passionate personality was the driving force behind the project. Through her meticulous attention to detail and collection of antiques and art, Fu captures Louise's personality as an elegant lady.
As one approaches the house, one is greeted by an abundance of green succulents, cacti, palm trees and lush trees that adorn Louise's subtropical garden. Through the metal-walled foyer, traditional Hong Kong-style Windows peek into Louise's home through velvet curtains.
Across the room, antique sconces guide one into the "meeting room," which is seamlessly transformed into a private room for special events and decorated with scenes of tropical paradise along the room's main wall. Creating the ideal ambience for all-day dining, the space is lit by a large floor-to-ceiling window looking out onto the garden of Lou Louise, providing the setting for more intimate evening dining.
