Onest, an Italian restaurant in Moscow, opens in the local food district. Asthetique was commissioned by client Arkady Novikov to design the restaurant's interior. Onest's subjective initiative comes when the noisy streets are replaced by a calm and emotional environment.
Asthetíque's use of smooth lines, tactile materials and muted colors creates a calming atmosphere for the restaurant's interior that invites calm reflection, a step away from digital reality, and an awareness of the environment around you and who you are making yourself.
Some of the project's concepts are reflected in its material palette, such as a creamy white stucco covering the walls, ceilings, recessed shelves, panels and partitions that occupy a central position. Its horizontal lines perfectly accentuate the smooth contours of arches and oval inner Windows that divide the hall. The shape, color and texture of the walls help to gently disperse sunlight, allowing it to enter through the dining room's large Windows.
The open kitchen is lined with rough sandstone towers that contrast with the smooth stucco surface, while the floor is covered with parquet panels inlaid with asymmetric marble. And all the contrasting elements of the interior coexist in harmony: for example, the strict geometry of columns, floors and window frames coexist peacefully with the biological form of mirrors, circular chair backs and architectural elements of the dining room. Instead of eye-catching artwork, there are beautifully framed green plants, so the monochrome space speaks for itself.
