MID's first concept shop combines a curated collection of five lines. It opened on the 4th floor of the Daimaru Shinsaibashi-Mise in Osaka in 2019 with the large-scale renewal. Metal reflections accentuate the subdued colours of the onyx-style walls complementing the brand's products. Like a star spreading radially, the ceiling design leaves a visual impact and enables easy access from any direction.

The visitor is visually attracted to the center by the dramatic ceiling design that shines from the core of the space. The ceiling feature doubles as a unique lighting system that enlightens the whole interior in a glow of soft and warm light. The delicate balance between the graphical architecture and the soft light create the perfect dialogue for customer to appreciate the product. 

Merchandising and product displays are crucial for properly understanding what products a brand has to offer, but in this layout the architecture itself guides the visitor through the collection, like a maze of independent space.

The store is elaborated around a simple palette of materials, a shade of soft grey textures, walls, ceiling, floor, contrasted with the vertical stone slab that creates strong focus. The color of the collection perfectly fits with the complex texture of the selected stone and its soft tones. 

The back of the store has a more minimal tone and texture, with grey-painted wall finishes.Only the metal details spark accent in the interior: table, displays and hanging bars. The MID new concept-store conveys the brands' complex image with a clear and comprehensive architecture.
