Glen Iris House is a modern family home in Australia that was designed by InForm Design with simplicity in mind. The scaled back design was carefully considered in order to allow the client’s own unique furniture and artwork to shine.
A modern family home that celebrates simplicity, Glen Iris has been carefully pared back to celebrate the client’s eclectic furniture and art collection. The floor-to-ceiling windows create a light-filled interior that becomes the backdrop for the curated mix of furnishings. The minimalist kitchen combines black and white cabinetry with light marble for a clean look.
The lofty entrance and hallway is characterised by blonde timber steps, joinery, and screens, while the kitchen and bathrooms are a moody mix of dark joinery and light marble and stone.A window was added in lieu of a backsplash above the sink to bring in more light. The upstairs houses the parent’s suite on one side and the three bedrooms for the children on the other side.InForm Design creates a bridging hallway between the parent’s retreat encompassing a large walk in robe and ensuite and the children’s three bedrooms and bathrooms.
