Hong Kong's Vietnamese food offerings are getting slightly saturated with many new players in town. With BEP at K11 Musea, our job as Design Consultant was to take the BEP Brand name a step further with a new concept tailored specifically for the the site’s landlord, K11. This updated concept is focused on the story of “Docks”- as the site is located right on the edge of Hong Kong’s iconic Victoria Harbour waterfront. Key words like Aqua, Tidal, Ocean, Gradation, Structured, Textured, Memorable, and Juxtapose- give our strategic vision a narrative anchor related to that romantic idea of what it feels like to be near to or close to dockside life.
Additionally, we imagine a bold and sophisticated space filled with timber and pops of colour reminiscent of surrounding Vietnam’s seaside towns. In terms of mood we relied mostly on the timber tones and touches of light. At night we imagine a warm yet festive dining atmosphere. Our goal was to make project atmospheric yet sharp - creating a great space for sharing food with friends. .
This particular restaurant concept carries a menu of iconic local Vietnamese favourites from coastal cities such as Hue, Danang, Hoi An, and further south to Nha Trang and Ho Chi Minh. Bep at K11 Musea evokes a sophisticated and elegant space which speaks to a more elevated offering, while still keeping a friendly and relaxed atmosphere- something customers loyal to the BEP brand have come home to expect again and again.
