Home is a container carrying memory of host. We could create it to be exquisite, luxuriant and full of ceremony but steady, simple and quiet as well which all depends on owners expect. In this case, Sue is hostess of this house who loves Mid-Century Modern furniture. An indolent and loosening feeling is what her expect for the new house.

In this case, we attempt to hide trail of design by using simple and natural material, and no more shape modelling on the wall. We prefer to focus on matching the color of materials, as well as the texture, details and the scales. How to make all of them looking pretty and suit this house is important.   To make the space get better view and be more fully functional, we removed the wall around kitchen and guest room.  A partition wall was built to keep the basic privacy.

Soft decoration has been taken into account, which is also the most interesting part of work. We must choose the most suitable products from hundreds of thousands categories which is accord with house‘s temperament. Make sure that the deferent color and materials are matched appropriate.

 We selected many Mid-Century Modern furnitures such as Cassina Maralunga sofa, Martinelli Luce Pipistrello table lamp, cherner chair, Carlo Scarpa Samo dining table, Verpan Globe ceiling lamp and the like. It now appears that these furnitures never go out of fashion. "The reason I like them so much is that good design has a quiet power to against the time lapsing” said Sue.

For the whole space, we also hope it has the power that can resist passing time, hold owner's mood and create precious memories. At last time we chitchatted while photographing, ‘I love this home so much. It feels cozy when I sit on the sofa, light up the aromatherapy and turn on the music after putting the baby asleep at night’ said Sue. So, you see, this is what life should be. Please love it more.
