Orior, the global design brand from Newry, Ireland, has completed its first-ever penthouse design with the landmark One Domino Square residential project. A testament to Orior’s design philosophy, the penthouse showcases the brand’s signature craftsmanship and thoughtful approach to materials and aesthetics, blending custom furniture with iconic pieces from their collection.
Inspired by the penthouse’s elevated setting, the interior embodies Orior’s commitment to quality and artistry, creating a space that balances the warmth of a home with the refinement of high-end design. Reimagined finishes and custom pieces - available exclusively to One Domino Square residents - elevate the space. The furniture and decor selections enhance the apartment’s architectural character, seamlessly blending rich textures, colors and materials.
Each room is thoughtfully curated with an individualized color scheme, ensuring that every space exudes its unique atmosphere while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic throughout the penthouse. The living area adopts a mature and understated palette of natural marble, limestone, muted bouclé and velvet, offering a seamless flow between the living, dining and kitchen areas. The layering of materials, ranging from warm woods to sumptuous fabrics, brings a tactile richness to the space. Every detail, from the custom rugs by Katie Ann McGuigan, to the lighting from Blue Green Works and Bocci, is carefully considered to create an inviting yet elevated environment.
The penthouse furniture exemplifies Orior’s mastery of materiality and craftsmanship, with pieces incorporating hand-selected Irish green marble and limestone; Portuguese limestone, bronze, brass and Irish crystal, adding a refined, artisanal touch; solid oak and walnut woods, used throughout for their timelessness; and bouclé, velvet and teak, highlighting textures and versatility in both indoor and outdoor settings.
Custom furniture adds further distinction to the project, such as a curved stool inspired by the Eli Chair, crafted in solid teak with versatile finishes. Beds designed specifically for the space incorporate elements of Orior’s iconic Atlanta, Néad and Gian silhouettes, illustrating the brand's continued evolution. Additional custom pieces include oak barstools, side tables and rugs.
Artwork by Cameron Stewart integrates seamlessly into the design. One Domino Square marks Orior’s return to Williamsburg, a neighborhood integral to their New York journey. After launching their first NYC showroom there in 2015 and relocating their flagship to Soho, the penthouse reflects Orior’s ongoing evolution and dedication to creating timeless, luxurious environments.
