The clients are a young married couple and their little daughter, bright representatives of modern urban culture. They work actively, both from home and in the office, travel, appreciate good design and comfort.
Malika Nurlan, together with their clients, they have found a balance between modern design, Scandinavian mood and midcentury elements. They chose the color scheme in natural warm earthy shades. The inspiration for interior design was the words of the customer, when she described her future home as a modern, warm, enveloping light space.
Initially, the apartment had an open layout, where Malika Nurlan planned a common area with a living room and a kitchen-dining zone, since the whole family likes to gather and spend time together. And also there is an entrance hall with a large wardrobe, a master bedroom with a work area and a storage system, a kid's room with furnituretransformer for both the baby and for growth, a bathroom and a lavatory.
Studio have been selecting a palette for several months and at the meeting on the final approval they suddenly saw that the color scheme completely coincides with the color of the customer's sneakers. It turned out that they subconsciously chose the shades that the customer definitely likes, which was confirmed by her wardrobe.
If the common area of the living room has calm colors, then Malika Nurlan have made the bathrooms more saturated by contrast. There were many outside corners in the common area. To soften them and avoid sharp shadows, they visually rounded them by adding a ceiling cornice in the color of the walls around the perimeter of the kitchen-living room. In general, they wanted to balance the urban landscape of the business center of the city outside the window. Therefore, they have a lot of rounded lines, soft shapes and warm colors.
