Founded by Jo Lawless and Brian Meyerson, Lawless&Meyerson is headquartered in Surry Hills and has a team of seven talented, creative designers. They are very passionate about the quality and detail in the design. The studio aims to expand the perception of apartment life by creating shelters for people to “live, work and enjoy”. When it comes to designing contemporary spaces, her guiding principle is that they should adapt to our basic needs and be visually satisfactory.

Jo Lawless is an interior designer who graduated from the Australian University of Architecture Interior Design with nearly 20 years of industry experience. She has worked in Australia, the United States and Asia to design a variety of retail spaces, hotels and luxury homes. Jo Lawless develops an easy and complex natural style through work experience from around the world, combining modernism, vintage spirit and national art.

Another partner, Brian Meyerson, has more than 25 years of architectural design experience in South Africa, the Middle East and Australia. He has held senior positions in several major construction companies, including GSA Group and Denton Corker Marshall, and in 1997 founded his own design company BMA. Brian Meyerson has extensive experience in developing challenging thinking and innovative design solutions and has built a reputation in Sydney's inner city. Then in 1965, MHNDU was re-established and Brian was the CEO.

Five years ago, Lawless collaborated with architect Brian Meyerson to set up an interior studio in the award-winning architectural practice MHN Design Alliance. Lawless&Meyerson specializes in creating beautiful spaces for people to live, work and enjoy. Jo Lawless's favorite interior is quiet, a bit bold, a bit glamorous, very elegant and attentive, likes to use natural materials, what Jo Lawless wants has a clear contrast, and the space that I don't like looks too luxurious.
