A concrete house in the small village of Aldeia do Meco, south of Lisbon, Portugal, by Portuguese architecture and interior design firm Atelier Rua. Atelier Rua has arranged a huge living room around this minimalist Portuguese holiday home, with three different green views. These are designed to be family gatherings where visitors can retreat to protect their privacy.
The house was Shared by a retired Dutch couple who wanted a holiday home with the same laid-back feel, where they could kill the summer months and let their adult children stay. They wanted a house that would promote the independence of each bedroom, and a public space that could serve as a gathering place. With this in mind, Atelier Rua designed Casa Meco asa "perfect square" -- with four guest rooms in the corner, each with its own bathroom, dressing room and private terrace.
