Luis Longhi was born in Puno in 1954. He is the founder of Longhi Aechitect Studio. His works are deeply influenced by Scarpa and he has designed many soulful spaces. Luis Longhi was invited by Yinji to teach online for three hours from 15:00-18:00 on December 18th.

Luis Longhi has multiple identities, as an artist, sculptor and architect, his inspiration often comes from his design practice during his creation, takes "follow your heart" as the basic principle and conveies the view that "nature is holy product". First of all, as Peruvian architect, in his works, he deeply expresses his respect for the local environment of Peru; Secondly, he defines design behavior as the behavior of making holy decisions, which will give him a greater sense of responsibility, so that he believes that the creative work of architects is driven by divine power.

Luis Longhi was fascinated by Carlo Scarpa, an architect with poet temperament, on his way of exploring architecture. They are all architectural poets who are moved by "beauty". In the endless exploration of architecture, each sacred fragment gathers into a powerful whole, which becomes unexpected and surprising because of each fragment. Architecture can be fragmentary, disembodied and full of poetry, but it must be a powerful whole in the end.
