Ciszak Dalmas is a full-service Architecture and Design Studio based in Madrid, founded in 2009 by Alberto Gobbino Ciszak and Andrea Caruso Dalmas. The studio works across a range of disciplines including architecture, interior, product design and art direction, and has collaborated in the past years with different realities.

Yinji：In your work, what design concept do you want to present?
Ciszak Dalmas：I think the biggest advantage of being a designer is the ability to learn new things and not be afraid to experiment. Many times we do not know what result we are going to achieve, but we are very sure that the fundamental thing is to trust the process. The result is a manifestation of how much concern, vision and perseverance you have had in the development phase ... without forgetting a bit of luck.

Yinji：How do you see the relationship between design and materials? In your work, you are good at using the combination of "poor" and "rich" materials ingeniously. This unique design method, what design spirit do you want to express, or the meaning behind it?
Ciszak Dalmas：Enhance the purity of materials allow us to discover hidden values and express brand’s concepts in a intuitive way. I believe that there is a new generation of designers capable of interpreting the spirit of their time with materials.

Yinji：We observed that there will be a feature in your works: imperfect finishes, unique sense of shape, how do you think of perfection?
Ciszak Dalmas：We love simplicity with meanings, without exceed.

Yinji：In your work, how do you achieve the perfect combination of light, texture, color and shape?
Ciszak Dalmas：Trial and error, trial and error until we achieve the perfect combination.

Yinji：You have designed a lot of store space. How do you see the design trend of commercial space in the future? People prefer to stimulate consumption desire in the space with which characteristics?
Ciszak Dalmas：In addition to buying products, stores serve to generate a direct experience with the customer, something that digital currently does not offer. They need that human aspect that they can only continue to find in physical stores.
