In 1988, when Phuket was a virgin wonderland, Mr. Adrian Zecha built his first hotel on the charming Pansea Beach, with 40 detached vacation homes and 32 private villas nestled among lush palm trees.
Aman Puri, or "Place of Peace," is perhaps the most memorable of Aman's creations. Resort exclusive Phuket island west bank beautiful charming Pansea Beach, from the pavilion upstairs, you can also overlook the magnificent Andaman Sea, like oil painting, slowly spread in front of your eyes, overflow your eyes and soul.
Aman does not have a uniform architecture. Fully respect and digest the local landscape and promote a natural way of life. Aman Puri's style is perfectly suited to its lush coconut plantation. So stand aloof from worldly affairs, with swaying coconut trees and blue sea water to fill your heart.
Designed by French designer Edward b. Tuttle, Aman Puri is inspired by Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of Thailand, which embodies the classic and elegant charm of Thailand. In the center of the resort there is a 27 meter long swimming pool. This central landscape is both an extension of the water and a mirror of the sky.Designed in the style of a traditional Thai house, each house is fully equipped with private swimming pool and 2 to 6 bedrooms. The villas have separate dining rooms, living rooms and bedrooms with elegant yet minimalist Thai furniture, art and antiques.
Today, the resort is one of Asia's hidden gardens. It was built on a hillside sloping to a white sandy beach. The eerily Thai design, with its sloping roof and warm wood, resembles Thailand's ancient capital, Ayutthaya. Aman 's first full-service SPA was introduced to Aman Puri in 2001 with a unique view. The new, two-story gym opened in December 2007 -- 350 square meters. Aman SPA boasts six double therapy rooms, including a private steam room, an airy relaxation deck and yoga salas on top of a hill.
