The Brickworks Centre is a multi-purpose site that marries sales office, function space and display suite. The project required robust materials for durability, whilst also conveying the warmth of home. A sense of strength was established by inserting a monolithic stone slab as sales counter. Geometric paving underfoot, inspired by Italian architect Carlo Scarpa, is a nod to the site’s past, and dramatically intersects with bespoke joinery in stunning natural oak.

The space is set up as a display unit for the future residential development, while also housing the needs of the sales and marketing people who are tasked with selling the future homes. The use of wood adds a feeling of coziness and warmth to welcome visitors. The new space needed to be outfitted with durable materials to withstand the traffic they’re expecting throughout the duration of the project.
