Hauvette & Madani signed a new project in Switzerland, near the Lake of Geneva. This vacation home has been redesigned for a family. This is the Hauvette & Madani studio's second project for this couple in their forties.
The architects had carte blanche to renovate and fit out this modern building. The aim was to give this pied-à-terre a vacation atmosphere. The building faces outwards, with a sumptuous view of the lake.
The luminous envelope, created by the marble and light paint tones, is enhanced by the use of wood. The decor is warm and refined. The shades of teak wood play on the links between inside and outside.
For the furniture and artworks, the owners opted for a clever mix of the great names in design, which reinforce the timelessness of the place, and 20th-century works of art. More recent furniture have been selected for its high craftsmanship value. Art curation was carried out in collaboration with clients at Workshop Carpenters Gallery, Galerie Gastou in Paris and Galerie Ormond in Switzerland.
