Shanghai Villa
The infectious places always convey a strong sense of space. They embrace the mysterious nothingness called space in a special way that makes it touch the heart.
The house is located in Shanghai, which is a gift from a father to his daughter for her 28th birthday. The owner BONNY is a beauty blogger with millions of fans. On the Internet, she is a passionate and unrestrained girl from Northeast China, but in reality, she is actually a delicate and gentle girl with artistic taste.
BONNY: "This is my own world. I hope it will be a home that fully satisfies my romantic fantasy and expresses my attitude towards life. I like the complicated and gorgeous French decorative patterns, the collision of ultra-modern and simple home life style, plus appropriate artistic presentation.""OK". Answered designer.
Under the premise of fulfilling the owners' demands, the designers decided to reference classics, and realize their own design value and implement the logic of adhering to the technique.
For me, space can have a charming silence. I associate it with qualities such as composure, self-proof, durability, presence, wholeness and warmth and sensibility; Just being yourself, as a place, represents nothing but the place itself. --Peter Zumthor
Classical techniques and modernist facade interventions. To shape the ritual sense of space in the form of middle axis symmetry, it brings order, security and harmony of space. The vertical construction removes the overly artificial sense of ritual, thus forming a new facade with multiple elements. Implement every major space. Multiple textures create a rich sense of volume on the facade and top, but we wanted to express it in a restrained way. The vertical stripes are derived from the combination of 112 tree trunks burned in Zumthor's church with concrete. The classical decoration on the top and walls is ranunculus villosa leaf, the most commonly used in Baroque.
Since feeling and understanding are rooted in the past, our emotional connection to architecture must be related to the process of memory. As John Berger has said, our memory is not the end of a thread. The activities of memory contain a variety of possibilities, and various scenes, emotions, forms, words, symbols and comparisons give rise to many possibilities. The work simultaneously becomes the intersection of multiple threads, history, aesthetics, function, personality and passion. --Peter Zumthor
I started working just as the dark night was moving forward outside the window. Somehow the dark night passed and the sun rose. Where does the sunlight come from? A tall plane tree outside the window, leafy, as if opened a green net. Further away, on the edge of the lake, were rows of weeping willows. All of this is bad for sunlight to penetrate. But the sunlight does flow in." -- Morning Delight by Ji Xianlin
When the courtyard is connected with the living room, the natural seasons come into life. Watching a star in the sky after the night falls, breathing every inch of the earth after the rain, feeling the cool of the dewy shoes and socks, or sitting on the sofa one day watching the light and shadow in front of the eyes, shaping the shape of objects... In the natural diffuse space, a kind of open and fresh more easily let people see the time, see the beauty, see themselves.
Time flow, space transformation; Black and white, dark and light, cold and warm, all are life.Time is an endless warp of past, present, future, eternity and never. In this private space, the top surface is slightly complicated to create a delicate perception, rich details, pure atmosphere.
The basement space has very little light, the amount of lighting is far from the standard for normal use. It is better to use the advantage of darkness and reverse design than to find the light by means of expansion. The parallel space inside the mirror, the designer believes that the mirror is not a decorative material but a kind of space material. We live sincerely, experiencing beauty and emotions through experience. We feel more authentically, to expand our knowledge of the world. Merge untouchable time with daily life, gain new insight, and examine the passing of time.
