Nicolas Schuybroek was honored to be invited and took the opportunity to show off a bathroom. It's an unusual choice in some ways because it's such a private space, but the bathroom is one of the Spaces that people invest the most in in a house, and the bathroom is the one that helps create comfort the most.

In Foster + Partners' iconic South Beach oceanfront condominium development, Shelton Mindel combined two units to create a complex with views from Biscayne Bay and downtown Miami to the beach and the Atlantic Ocean. The interior is combined with the exterior, where it opens to the full curve of the exposed waterfront and large balconies. The carpet in the living room and master bedroom is radiating from concentric circles, mimicking the shape of a beachfront balcony and hanging above it, while the color and texture of soft sand radiates in the master bedroom.

Taking the Bento Box as a reference, a portion of homemade food arranged in a tray of wooden boxes, the walls and the ceiling generate an enveloping grid made of sawn oak veneer.

In this loft residence, the shell of the space is articulated by the exposure of its limed brick enclosure and sprinklers and overhead utilities. All added partitions are articulated in a white lacquer panel system by differentiating vocabularies of old and new. The modernist intervention of lacquered fixed and moveable panels amidst the exposed original wall spaces, makes clear what is old and what is new. The palette of the loft is inspired by the confutation of the materials utilized visible from its large scaled openings celebration of the symphony the surrounding city. This loft becomes another chorus singing the praises of “ I’ll take Manhattan”

111 North is a slender twenty-six story residential tower proposed along the Mississippi River in the heart of Downtown Baton Rouge. Designed by Trahan Architects. With a lot size of only 2,265 SF, the project utilizes an efficient core and innovative structural design to provide twenty three dwelling units ,one unit per floor.
