LongHouse, the home and sculpture garden in East Hampton of acclaimed textile designer and collector Jack Lenor Larsen (1927–2020), and Object & Thing, the art and design exhibition platform, announce further details about their collaboration on an exhibition to take place within the summer living room, gallery and guest level of LongHouse. The exhibition, A Summer Arrangement: Object & Thing at LongHouse, is co-curated by Glenn Adamson and Abby Bangser and features installation design by Colin King.
LongHouse is a 501c3 non-profit with a commitment to diversity, equity, accessibility and inclusion in all aspects of its work. LongHouse is an affiliate member of Historic Artist Homes and Studios and a member of the American Public Gardens Association. LongHouse was not only where Larsen lived; LongHouse has a life of its own.
LongHouse features permanent collection works by Dale Chihuly, Buckminster Fuller, Sol Lewitt and Yoko Ono, among others, and a seasonal program of loans by living artists. Open to members and to the public. Larsen, the internationally known textile designer, author, and collector, left LongHouse and its gardens to the public, encouraging programs on art, nature, ideas, creativity and wellness.
