The approach of Sisalla for the interior design was to design a sophisticated coastal style that would connect the outdoors into the internal spaces. The interior concept is three ‘black boxes’ to float in the space taking the form of the enclosed stair, butlers pantry and island bench. The external cladding colour was brought inside to connect the outdoors to inside seamlessly. Built by Mode Projects to sell, the result was a house that was sold almost instantly.
