This site is on the Beibin road, Chongqing, elaborately designed by the GZ Design Office. “What does the design express” was the first question raised by the project owner when we first met each other. When we went to the site to investigate the whole environment and its spatial structure, the hidden location, limited lighting surface and complex structural relationship make us ponder. As this space allows people to still their minds, people who are calm and gentle always have a deeper understanding of life.

Lots of natural materials are used in this space, and the grain of the soft wood highlights the overall delicate texture. Every corner is full of ingenuity. The void structure created by the space level, the light source introduced from the side and the tall plants with tropical flavor add a unique flavor to the dark hall. Through the large fence window and the thick curtains, some weak light and shadow sprinkle on the soft sofa. When you immerse yourself in the scene, you may feel relaxed and comfortable～

Tadao Ando, a Japanese architect, said that light is the source of all things. "Light" is endowed with new relationships in new forms at all times. The creation of space is the condensation and purification of the power of light.

Go up the stairs to the dark hallway on the second floor. The restrained light and shadow are like a replica of the movie picture. All furnishings are presented in the most authentic original form. Perhaps this is the essence of life, that is, to return to nature and pursue the beauty of emptiness and obscurity. There is continuity of flowing light and shadow, cozy atmosphere of space, and  simple and elegant furniture. The rest of everything is reborn. Creating a quiet corner is also the original intention of the design team!

Pure design is derived from the passion of life. Only by exploring life personally can we find natural symbiosis and soul resonance.
